Through Our Eyes: Stories in Exile

Digital Exhibition

We are thrilled to announce that the PREP IP photovoice digital exhibition, “Through Our Eyes: Stories in Exile”, is live on our project website. This unique exhibition showcases the powerful photo-narratives created by refugees from many different countries who settled in Germany, Ireland, Norway and Spain. It offers us unique insights into their lives and experiences.

“Through Our Eyes: Stories in Exile” is a result of the Photovoice project, a participatory action research initiative that empowers refugees to use photography and narrative to express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. This exhibition provides a platform for refugees to share their stories in their own voices, highlighting both the challenges and resilience they encounter in their daily lives.

What to Expect

Visitors to the exhibition will find a collection of compelling photographs accompanied by personal narratives. These images and stories reveal the diverse and complex realities of life in exile, from moments of joy and hope to the struggles and hardships faced by refugees. The exhibition aims to foster a deeper understanding and empathy towards refugees, influencing our perceptions and attitudes.

By bringing these stories to a wider audience, “Through Our Eyes: Stories in Exile” seeks to raise awareness about the issues that matter most to refugees. It offers valuable insights for health professionals, policymakers, and the general public, encouraging a more informed and compassionate approach to supporting refugee communities.
