Tone Elin Mekki

Tone Elin Mekki is an Associate Professor at Centre for Care Research in Western Norway, Western Norway University of Applied Sciences http://www.hib.no/om-hogskolen/senter-for-omsorgsforskning/. Part of my position is to facilitate the R&D work performed by four regional Centres for Development and Nursing Home Care in Western Norway. I qualified as a Nurse in 1980. With the exception of 5 years working as an RN, I have primarily worked in different parts of the Nursing Education System as both teacher, curriculum developer, policy maker and leader/manager and researcher. I have also been involved in Norwegian healthcare politics and policy for many years. Recently, I have been working in complex mixed method implementation project to reduce restraint use in nursing homes in Norway (The MEDCED study). Presently, I am engaged in several co-production and implementation research studies in nursing homes and home-based health care in Norway. On behalf of Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, I have the pleasure of being the project leader for our Erasmus + EISEN partnership.

Hilde Haaland-Kramer

Hilde Haaland-Kramer is the general manager of the Center for Care Research, Western Norway. Main responsibility includes project management, financial management and HR for the center’s projects and employees. Also administrative head of the project “Technology in Health and Care Services.” Master of Arts in International Affairs from American University.

 

Christine Øye

Christine Øye a social anthropologist and a professor in health and care services at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Health and social science and Centre of care research. She has been developing  ethnographic methods in implementation research based on reseach in different forms of health services, with an emphasis on dementia health services. Currently, she is involved in different  collaborative research projects, including research collaborators from a range of different countries. She also leads a reseach network on Facilitation and innovation in community health services (FICHS), and a research network on “Care philosophy”.


Lars Wallin

Lars Wallin is a registered (paediatric) nurse and professor in nursing at Dalarna University in Sweden. He is affiliated to Karolinska Institutet and guest professor at University of Gothenburg. His clinical background is in neonatal care and he worked as unit manager for 10 years in a neonatal intensive care unit. Currently Wallin leads a research centre at Dalarna University focusing on implementation and patient safety. He is also director of research in the regional health care organisation and Scientific Adviser at the Swedish Society of Nursing. Wallin’s research program includes systematic reviews, epidemiological studies, instrument development and trials, all in the field of knowledge translation and implementation research.

Malin Tistad

Malin Tistad is a registered physiotherapist and senior lecturer at Dalarna University, School of Education, Health and Social Studies. She is responsible for two postgraduate courses, at advance and doctoral education level, in implementation and implementation research. Her research focus mostly on implementation of new practices in the health care sector.

 

Anna Ehrenberg

Anna Ehrenberg is a registered nurse and Professor in nursing at Dalarna University School of Education, Health and Social Studies, Sweden. She is the head of research in Health & Welfare at the school. Her research is in the area of implementation of evidence-based knowledge, health informatics and patient safety and focuses on nurses’ use of nursing knowledge in clinical decision-making and decision support.

Ragnar Olafsson

Ragnar Olafsson is Development Manager at the Next Generation Learning center at Dalarna University. He has extensive experience in planning and developing the digital learning environments. Ragnar has since he helped start up the department in 2001 sought to primarily make education available and make learning possible despite geographical distance. He has managed several initiatives such as implementation of learning platforms, development of a lecture capture/broadcast system, as the first University in Sweden establish its presence on iTunesU, implementation of web conferencing systems, etc. He has worked with the departments bases of pedagogical reasoning witch centers on -making learning possible, -discussions are crucial for education and -pedagogical needs comes before technical solutions.


Henna Hasson

Henna Hasson is associate Professor in health care sciences and a director for Medical Management Centre at Karolinska Institutet. Her research focus is on implementation of innovative work practices and de-implementation of low value care. She has a great interest in the practical impact of her research as a Head of Unit for Implementation, Center for Epidemiology and Community Medicine at Stockholm County Council.

 

Anna Bergström

Anna Bergström is an implementation scientist with a particular focus on implementation science in low- and middle-income countries. Anna has developed a course in Implementation Science in Global health that has been running at Uppsala University since 2014 and she is currently involved in implementation research in Uganda, Mozambique, Sudan and Nepal. Anna currently work at the Unit for Implementation, Center for Epidemiology and Community Medicine at Stockholm County Council, at International Maternal and Child Health at Uppsala University and is affiliated to the Medical Management Centre at Karolinska Institutet.

 


António Fernando Amaral

ANTÓNIO FERNANDO AMARAL, CoordinatorProfessor, RN and specialized in medical-surgical nursing, International office coordinator, MSc in Health economics, PhD in Management.

My fields of teaching is Nursing Epistemiology, and Health Economics, and my ree«search now is on nursing effectiveness and missed care. That’s why i’m so interested in the translation of science.

 


Chris Burton

Chris trained as a Registered General Nurse in Glasgow. His main ambition is to improve life for patients and families affected by stroke. His research concentrates on closing the gaps between evidence and the delivery of care. He has grown a significant programme of research, mainly in stroke, nursing and rehabilitation, and has supported service improvement through a wide range of bespoke organisational development programmes. Current research is investigating the cost and clinical effectiveness of rehabilitation; improving clinical decision-making in end of life care; peer support in a range of health conditions; policy and practice around safe staffing in the NHS; the impact of the Francis Inquiry in NHS England; and de-implementation. Healthcare improvement has been facilitated through development programmes commissioned by NHS organisations, the Department of Health and the Scottish Government. Chris has co-led the development of Implementation Research at Bangor University, recognised by key stakeholders as internationally excellent. His leadership in this area was recently recognised through a personal award from the Health Foundation as an Improvement Science Fellow. As Head of School, his ambition is to ensure that the resources of the University are able to support the development of healthcare and health in North Wales.
