Silje Valde Onsrud presented a paper developed together with Hanne Rinholm and Bendik Fredriksen in WP2. The paper problematized how spaces for students’ critical reflexivity can be developed through participatory action research. Onsrud presented two narratives where the researchers show how the students reflected, and how the space for critical reflection was opened, but also limited. In the discussion of the narratives, definitions of ‘critical thinking’ and ‘critical reflection’ were used. In the conclusion, the practice triangle illustrated what kind of critical reflection the students showed during the presented participatory action research.

Tine Grieg Viig presented a paper about hope and change for music teacher education, by using examples from her exploratory work with digital tools in music education through collaborative action research. Hope in education was the overall theme for the whole conference, and we found issues from the FUTURED-project to be a vital contribution to this theme.
