Meetings with the FUTURED Scientific Advisory Board

This spring, the FUTURED researchers and the Scientific Advisory Board have met online to present, discuss and reflect together on important issues regarding each study, work packages and the overall project. Each meeting had its own focus, where the work package leaders, researchers, guest researchers and scientific advisory board members shared development from the studies, insights and ideas about the work done so far and how to proceed.

The members of the FUTURED Scientific Advisory Board are all professors in their respective fields, and their competencies encompass a wide map of areas relevant for our project including policy and curriculum studies, critical theory, popular music, music technology, assessment and teacher education. Their extensive areas of expertise supported a broad and useful foundation for our discussions, where keywords such as learning outcomes, assessment, curriculum, collaborations and power relations in music teacher education were reflected upon in relation to the different FUTURED studies and work packages. We also discussed how the FUTURED project could be brought into dialogues with a larger audience, and how the project could inform future work in music teacher education.
